We want everyone to be able to enjoy the nation’s favourite dish, which is why we offer gluten free fish and chips on our menu. What’s more, we also offer a selection of vegetarian and vegan options so everyone can make memories at Platten’s. 

Caring for our customers

Over the past 10 years, specific dietary requirements have become increasingly popular and gluten free fish and chips are in demand now more than ever. To ensure all of our customers get the same enjoyment out of our food, we’ve adapted our menu and more importantly, made sure that the nation’s favourite takeaway doesn’t  compromise on flavour.

Our gluten free promise 

At Platten’s, we’re dedicated to serving up the same delicious fish and chips to our gluten free customers. In our shop, we have a designated gluten free area to prevent any cross contamination and we maintain clear gluten free labelling on our fish and chips.

To create our incredibly tasty fish and chips, we use a gluten free flour mix which is combined with water, before coating the product in our gluten free flour, dipping it into the batter mix, and then into the pan for five to eight minutes. At the same time, we add the required amount of chips into the oil, and once it’s ready, we serve this to our customers. 

Not forgetting our vegetarian and vegan customers – we have specific pans to prepare and cook the food in so rest assured there is no trace of our regular products.
